Strategize Ideal Career Dream First

Posted By Career Development
One of the essential means of discovering what you do with your career is to "first dream." It's something I remind my career coaching clients of all time. Sounds so simple, yet so few people can sit, relax their minds and give freedom to travel without restraint.

One reason may be that all our lives we have been trained to follow orders and rules and therefore tend to leave the process and procedure dictate our behavior. But if we are still waiting for approval or instructions on how to proceed, how are we supposed to think creatively and outside of the box? This is not surprising that sometimes when we try to think for ourselves, without a specific process, we end up with empty hands and / or confused.

Remember it's your life, shaping your own future. Nobody can take that away from you - not your employer, not your family, and even society. So, if you're happy with your current career, are dying to explore new territories, or have a secret desire to do something completely outside your comfort zone ... go for it! Try it and see where it takes experience. You only live once and believe it or not there are ways and means around each corner to help you get where you want to be. One of my favorite quotes is "The greatest risk in life." And I know exactly where the future is starting in the palm of your mind where dreams and fantasies take shape.

So what is your dream? What do you do as a child? What is your vision of the perfect career, a kind of job that makes best use of your talents, abilities and strengths? What might work for you who "do not feel like work," because it is something you are naturally talented and like to do the exercise below as a means to explore the possibilities -? C "is an important first step towards taking the plunge and make the transition to a more satisfying career.
